GASOLINE PRICE GOUGING HOTLINE

In response to the closing of oil and gas production facilities

in the Gulf Coast due to Hurricane Gustav,

Senator Flanagan is urging all New York residents to be wary of price gouging.

While some fluctuation in gas and oil prices due to this and other events is natural,

profiting from a natural disaster is against the law in New York State.

If you suspect price gouging from either a gas station or other fuel retailer,

please either call the New York State

Consumer Protection Board (NYSCPB) gouging hotline

at 1-800-214-4372 or

click here to visit their electronic complaint form
